Desert Wind Shepherds and Training Center

Dog training has been my passion since I was 10 years old.  At the age of twelve, I raised my first Guide Dog for the Blind. I have been teaching classes for over 25 years.  I have shown competitivly in obedience, and titled my German Shepherds to several titles including CD, CDX, UD .  I also have trained in Rally, which is a new sport for the American Kennel Club.  I have done Therapy work with my dogs as well.  I have had dogs my whole life.  I  am currently in the process of raising a male  two year old Australian Shepherd named Grizzly, in which I plan to breed and show in obedience, agility, flyball, and rally.  Our family raised a Guide Dog for Guide Dogs of the Desert of Palm Springs, Tanya finished her training with us in June of 2007, she continued her training in Palm Springs, and was sucessful in graduating, and was placed with her new permanent owner who lives in Iowa.  We are very proud and honored to a part of this very special experience.  The final members of the family are a Cocker Spaniel named Lacey and a German Shepherd named Xar. The TWO  final member of our familes XAR and LACEY  passed away in May of 2007, They will be deeply missed.
